Coach Jin Calhoun speaks of Emeka and Caron Butler
Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun makes an apology to a newspaper columnist, Dave Solomon of the New Haven Register, just after two days when he was asked about the recruitment and comment on the improvement of Providence’s Ryan Gomes.
Yes, The Waterbury native Ryan Gomes won against UConn’s for the Providence 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Calhoun just lashed out at the columnist, saying, “I took Emeka Okafor and Caron Butler. They’re not bad! I can’t get everyone!” in a harsh voice which was really not welcoming.
